Performance Evolution
TB EVO. series models are Tamiya's top shaft-driven 4WD touring car chassis, and a new design is here: the TB EVO.8! Its carbon fiber deck layout features a minimalistic upper design to optimize pitch rigidity and lower the center of gravity, and also uses R/C deck and center stiffener components; aluminum bulkheads stiffen the drive train and contribute to its efficiency. Suspension arms are the same design as on the TA08 PRO and promise to get the most out of your tires, and are paired with Super Short Big Bore Dampers front and rear. A choice of motor layouts (front-midship, rear-midship) is on offer, and the chassis design allows efficient adjustment of backlash. Controllability, speed, ease of upkeep - the TB EVO.8 has it all!
With an updated chassis layout from the TB Evo. 7, its suspension features popular A-shaped suspension arms which was used for the Tamiya TA08 PRO Chassis kit. Additionally, the motor can be positioned in two locations for various track conditions. Do not miss this chance to get your hands on this shaft-driven super car!
Key Features:
Choose from two types of motor layout - front mid motor layout or rear mid motor layout.
Lower deck and vertical upper decks are crafted in carbon fiber, and ensure pitch rigidity.
Aluminum bulkhead and damper stay are one-piece component.
7mm suspension balls and king-pins are combined for smooth motion. (TAM22016)
The front A-shaped arm suspension employs Super Short Big Bore dampers and uses 5.8mm balls to connect top and bottom sections for superior responsiveness.
The rear suspension utilizes tie rods for easy adjustment of toe angle on upright side.
The steering linkage is affixed directly to bulkhead to limit any impact upon chassis roll.
Features efficient, fuss-free adjustment of motor backlash via two screws on chassis upside.
Highly-efficient shaft-driven 4WD is achieved with a front direct coupling and double cardan drive shafts, plus a rear gear differential unit and aluminum drive shafts.
Uses urethane front bumper (TAM58693: TA08 PRO chassis) for great aerodynamics.
Carbon fiber, floating R/C equipment deck attached by screws removes use of double-sided tape for maintenance.
Comes with a carrying case.
What's In The Box?

The steering setup has the arm attached to the front gearbox, shielding it partially from chassis roll.
Aluminum king pin suspension balls combine king pin and flanged pipe parts, for quicker pit work.
Attached on only one side, the aluminum servo mount has minimal impact upon chassis flex.
Just access two screws to fine-tune motor backlash. The motor is attached via an aluminum bracket.
Torque rods in the rear suspension let you adjust toe angle with the minimum of fuss.
An integrated damper stay and rear upper bulkhead design has 4 different damper attachment points.
Clear polycarbonate plastic gear covers are also included in the kit.
The aluminum center stiffener is attached to the lower deck; the optional R/C deck has a floating mount.
When set up with the motor in the rear right, the chassis is balanced toward acceleration.
This is a low-profile chassis, with the upper deck not even reaching tire height.
Technical Specifications:
Length: 383mm (no body)
Width: 186mm
Wheelbase: 257mm
Carbon fiber double deck frame (2.25mm upper, 2.0mm lower)
Aluminum center stiffener
Shaft-driven 4WD with 2 motor positions
Front direct coupling, rear oil-filled gear differential
3-piece steering tie-rod
4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension
