Tamiya BBX 2WD Off-Road Buggy Kit
BBX 2WD Off-Road Buggy Kit. The RBX BB-01 scale Dune buggy was inspired by Tamiya's back catalog of iconic 2WD off-road buggies. This high performance off-road machine features a redesigned chassis, reminiscent of 1980?s sand rail dune buggies, is a hybrid monocoque-roll cage, and employs rear trailing arm suspension inspired by full-size UTV?s. All this is wrapped in a 0.7mm thick polycarbonate body designed and crafted by the renowned Japanese artist Atsushi Arino, features a classic 1980?s-inspired livery, complemented by retro wheels and tires for a nostalgic touch.
BBrilliant
This R/C model assembly kit is inspired by single-seater racing buggies popular in America. The slim chassis utilizes a lengthwise battery pack and rear-mounted, transverse motor, and ensures optimum weight balance and precise rigidity. The 4-wheel independent suspension uses front double wishbone and rear trailing arm setups to allow dynamic off-road performance. It employs safety nets, a roll cage equipped with light pods, six-piece body cowling featuring a long nose, and aluminum dampers.
The BB-01 Chassis
The BB-01 is a rear-wheel drive buggy chassis which features a hybrid lower deck-roll cage and suspension structure for a super-realistic look. Lengthwise battery pack and rear-mounted motor give the rear wheels plenty of traction, while the sealed gearbox has a built-in ball differential. The suspension utilizes an A-shaped arm front double wishbone setup featuring a skid angle of 25 degrees, and rear trailing arms for alignment adjustment, plus high-spec, high-quality aluminum aeration oil dampers for all four wheels. Tires are front rib pattern tread for directional stability and rear square spike for high grip, and are paired with front and rear metal-plated, hex-hub wheels. Access the motor easily under the liftable rear roll cage section.
Key Features:
Full ball bearings and universal drive shafts
TA06 rear ball differential for consistent traction
Four-wheel double wishbone suspension system
One-piece monocoque frame and roll cage
Metal-plated bead lock type wheels are paired with large-diameter tires
Removable rear cage for ease of maintenance
